The Maker eV combines the joint efforts of the Industrial Association Saxony 1828 e. V,
Kreatives Chemnitz e. V. and C³ Chemnitzer Event Organisation GmbH to organize the makers united festival as an annual highlight in Chemnitz, centrally and free of charge for a broad audience.
Together we want to promote technical creativity and interest across all generations. We place a special focus on the next generation of skilled workers, whom we actively involve through our school days.

The association also develops offers that provide easy access to the creative use of technology and crafts that can be used in schools all year round.
Many maker spaces that we support and network throughout Saxony complement and promote creative, STEMM-related practices.

The maker scene combines creativity with technical solutions and the know-how of experts and aims to promote interest in the STEMM subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, art and technology) in exchange with traditional crafts and also to impart soft skills.
Maker eV offers a base, a platform, local and international networks and exchange opportunities for makers, makerspaces, educational institutions, industry and SMEs.
