Project manager "Maker-Hubs" as local innovation spaces in rural areas

Together with the initiatives of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, "maker hubs" are being created as local innovation spaces in rural areas throughout Saxony. As part of this exciting project, we are looking for a committed project manager from July 2023 who will support us in identifying, supporting and qualifying other stakeholders and networking them with existing knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Your tasks:

• Evaluation of the Maker Hub applications and search for other interested parties

• Implementation of workshops with selected initiatives

• Collaborate with Makerhub experts to develop concepts and room models

• Conducting pop-up maker hub presentations

• Application for further project phases and establishment

• Documentation and evaluation of the project

What we expect from you:

• Experience in project management and working with creative people

• A background in the areas of the maker movement, creative industries or regional development is an advantage

• Excellent communication and networking skills

• Ability to work independently and to motivate teams

• Strong problem solving and organizational skills

• An innovative mindset and the ability to develop creative solutions

• Fluent knowledge of German

• Mobility throughout Saxony

The position is limited until December 31, 2023. An extension is possible depending on a project extension. There is also the possibility of being taken over by sister projects.
